Important Changes To Our Health And Safety Routines

checkup and cleaning visitRoutine checkups and cleanings help prevent the onset of serious complications and oral health issues, including tooth decay and even gum disease! However, your Woodland Hills, CA, dentist knows that many in our community have been avoiding these visits out of concern about COVID-19. We understand, and made significant changes to our health and safety measures to protect our patients when they visit!

Prior to Your Visit

When you schedule your visit, we will ask you a few simple screening questions about any symptoms you may be experiencing and whether you’ve visited an area with a high outbreak of COVID-19. We will then ask these questions again when you arrive for treatment. To help ensure social distancing, we will be offering fewer appointment times, which keeps the waiting room empty and allows plenty of time to clean and disinfect surfaces in between each visit.

When you arrive, we will have you stay in your car until the waiting room is empty and your appointment time arrives. You should wear a mask when you enter, and we will have hand sanitizer in the office for you to use. There will be a glass partition at the front desk too!

During Your Time in Our Office

We will be following strict health and safety protocols, the same recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Our team members will be wearing PPE, including masks, face shields, gloves, and gowns, to help keep everyone in the office, patients and team members included, safe.

New Technologies

We’ve implemented a number of new technologies to help keep everyone safe and healthy when they visit! For example, we have employed new air filtration systems. These extraoral and intraoral suction units will help capture any droplets and aerosols in the air, cleaning the air and reducing the risk of disease spreading significantly. Our team has also updated our software systems, which helps limit the amount of face-to-face time and provides touchless alternatives for planning treatment, handling check-ins and check-outs, and the payment process. If you have any questions about this process, or if you would like to set up an appointment for you or a member of your family, then please contact our team today. Remember, routine care helps keep smiles of all ages strong, healthy, and free of issues like tooth decay and gum disease.
